Kaieros thumps sec 4's 6 nil

Yes thats right, the classic is over!!! With Kaieros thrashing the sec 4's in a highly entertaining match at Safra stadium. The Kaieros players who were wearing their jerseys for the first time played one of their best ever matches together. Let me share some highlights with you:

1) Kaieros increases their tempo right at the start of the game. After some good passing movement by the team, Ben spotted the timed run by Yu Xun and made a brilliant true pass to him. However, Yu Xun just could not manage to shoot pass the rushing Zhou Yang. Well played between the two players though and this is just the start.

2) Matthew managed to get the ball near the edge of the penalty area. After weaving his way to the sideline and fooling past a couple of defenders, he crossed a low ball into the penalty area. But there was no one there!! Just a little too far for me to reach.Good ball but poor chemistry.

3) Once again, Matthew managed to get the ball near the sidelines giving everyone a sense of deja vu as he feinted past yet another 2 players before sending a similar cross as before. This time, after learning from my previous mistake, i charged into the far post even before the pass was made and made it just in time to tap in the cross easily. Brilliant play by Matt.(for the first time)

4)I recieved the ball near the left wing but slightly miscontrolled it and allowed the ball to bounce too far. However, i managed to send a through ball to Teng Rui. But the cross was kinda mistimed. But at least it showed the increasing chemistry between the two left sided players.

5) Chi Min continued to threaten our whole team with his Breakneck speed, powerful stamina and individual brilliance however he just could not find the end product.

6)Kaieros continued to threaten from the left wing and middle and dominating most of the possesion but still found it very hard to clinch the second goal.

7)Just before the break, i sent a pass to Cher Yong who managed to get past one midfielder before sending a through ball for Matt to chase it long. Even though Matt managed to get to the ball in time, the ever brilliant Zhou Yang saved it from Matt's feet but just could not grasp hold of the ball. The ball fell to the feet of the charging Zi Jie. After a bit of scrambling in the box, ZJ managed to break loose and send a delightfully weighted ball in to the net, past all the defenders and goalkeeper. 2 nil at half time!!
